Horses have been a big part of my life for 40 years; having experienced  pony club, competition and rescue...and everything in between!

I was never fortunate enough as a child, to own a pony so until I was able to buy my own, found myself having to 'put up' with those horses nobody else wanted to deal with! I came across a lot of troubled and challenging horses and had to learn to communicate with them; I had no choice ...we had to get on....!

Having had a lot of experience with ex-race horses, I found the unravelling of these equines rewarding and fascinating. It seemed to happen quite organically that my interest in horses and people with similar complex issues merged; using horses to help with human issues produced great results.

I work with some people who are not in any way 'horsey' but having spent time with the horses have dealt with problems in their lives they may have spent too much time avoiding. Years of study, training and experience mean I’m able to welcome anybody to the Ranch for any need they may have; equine therapeutic sessions reach people in all manner of ways!

I have been very fortunate to work with some great horse people and each one has given me something to use for the good of my clients; the greatest teachers however live in my field; they are my horses.... Laura Chandi

Jamie’s Farm is a wonderful charity which brings vulnerable children to the countryside and experience farm life; I deliver horse sessions to the visiting children for a couple days there each week. Their experiences with the horses can have a dramatic impact and very few would say they hadn’t been affected in some way.
