DISCLAIMER : PARTICIPANTS TAKE PART AT THEIR OWN RISK. BAY HORSE RANCH CIC WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY OR LOSS OR DAMAGE OF PROPERTY OTHER THAN AS A RESULT OF NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF BAY HORSE RANCH. 

  1. RISK: The Activities comprise a challenging experience for most participants. Whilst all reasonable care is taken for the safety of participants, the Activities are with horses so therefore inherently dangerous and there is a risk of injury. All participants will receive safety instruction prior to participation, including all guidance regarding the concept of working with prey animals. 

  2. MEDICAL: Participants must inform Bay Horse Ranch of matters that include medical and health issues, dietary issues and any other potential material issues.

  3. CLOTHING: Participants must be dressed appropriately; sturdy boots and waterproofs (if needed); protective hats and body wear is provided. 

  4. SAFEGUARDING: All staff involved with a session or who may be on the premises will have a current DBS certificate. For the purpose of recording, evidence and progress, photographs are taken and included in the learner’s progress folders. Please make it explicitly clear if you do not want this to happen. There may also be occasions when photos of participants are selected for promotional purposes; for the website or social media etc. This will never happen without written permission sought from the learner’s parents/carers or themselves if an adult. Personal information included on the contact sheets will remain confidential and never shared with third parties. Safeguarding children is our highest priority. This means taking measures to ensure their safety and welfare. This may include contacting the appropriate authorities for safeguarding concerns.

  5. FIRST AID: Where considered appropriate by Bay Horse Ranch staff, first aid will be administered to children. Where staff consider it to be appropriate, emergency services will be contacted.

  6. CONDUCT: A general code of behaviour and respect is expected in regard to each other and the animals of Bay Horse Ranch. It is a reasonable acceptance that some Learners may have limitations on this concept and all efforts will be made to accommodate those who struggle with these values unless there is aggression or violence at a level where human or animal well being is at risk and then the Participant/Carers will be asked to discontinue their sessions. Bay Horse Ranch has the right to terminate a session if any risk to the safety of staff or animals is an issue. 


These Participation Terms and Conditions apply to the use of BAY HORSE RANCH activities.
Bay Horse Ranch reserves the right to make changes to sessions whether to conform to any applicable safety or other statutory requirements or otherwise

Some important considerations include the uneven terrain as well as muddy areas on wet days; there are no disabled toilets on site; there are compost toilets on site.

Bay Horse Ranch is fully insured and all staff hold a DBS certificate and have First Aid Training.

Nothing contained in these Participation Terms and Conditions is intended to nor shall limit the liability of Bay Horse Ranch in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Bay Horse Ranch or of its employees, agents or contractors.
These Participation Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

No variation to these Participation Terms and Conditions shall be binding unless agreed in writing by Bay Horse Ranch CIC.
